Never think that your age limits your options! I am 38 and just learned to crochet about 1 yr ago. It is so relaxing and addictive. I started out very simple and learned how to make granny squares. Now I can read patterns and make just about anything I want to make (although I haven't tackled apparel yet!) including stuffed animals, doilies, blankets, pillows, etc. There are so many good websites out there that will teach you how to do the work and you can find a lot of free patterns as well. Just google crochet, how to crochet, free crochet patterns, etc and you'll find something you like. The best thing about it is that you can use your completed projects as gifts for family and friends and you can even sell the items at flea markets, craft fairs, and holiday bazaars. Giving a new born a dummy?

Hi, can you help. I have a new son, 6 days old born by C Section. He is feeding well () but on the 3rd night in hospital he started to not want to go back to his cot without crying. He doesnt cry a lot and goes to sleep if I pick him up and put him on myself. He has continued this habit and I have just bought him home. He again is feeding well but took some encouragement to go to his cot on his feeds overnight. I noticed this morning that he was still suckling his lips after being fed and when I put my hand in his mouth he sucked on that as well. I purchased a dummy specially for new born babies and tried this after he had fed and put him down in his cot. WONDERFUL. He has fed and slept in his bed fine all day. I have even put him down whilst he was awake just so I could get something out of the oven and he has been fine. No change to feeding, is this ok to do that and should I feel bad if I put him down when he is awake with his dummy to settle him just if I want to get a task done. Sorry new mum and not sure what I am doing. Thanks in anticipation.

I am proud to say that i have never bought a pair of UGGs!!!!! one of my friends bought a pair and i am now not her friend because of what i did to her UGGs. Whats wrong with this pigeon?

I found a pigeon on my fire escape in Detroit. It can't fly or walk and holds its head at a weird angle. It's wings are not broken (I have chickens and know how to check) so I think it must be a neurological thing. Maybe it ran in to a window, or has a sickness which is causing it? Otherwise it seemed totally healthy. It has green droppings. I have had it for 3 days, I have kept it in a clean fish tank filled with towels and I have food and h20 constantly available. I cover the fish tank with a blanket (I leave an open area for air)so the pigeon feels secure. Today I plan on trying to hand feed the pigeon some bran cereal mashed with water because it has lost some weight. Can anyone give me some info on what might be the problem? What should I do to provide care? I can not bring the bird to vet. It's not an option because I hardly have any money at all right now and absolutely can't afford it. Any info would be great! i do. my dog, Cindy, didnt come from a shelter though. you see, my mom worked as a paramedic and there were always this litter of puppies that came around begging for food. they seemed to have been abused, as some had blood in there fur and some had bumps and the toes were sticking out on odd angles. these dogs kept coming around and finally my mom wanted one and she rescued it. Even though Cindy is getting arthritis and pain in her old age, she's a great dog. Is my milk running dry?

My son is 8 weeks old. Today I noticed that he was extremely fussy and acted hungry a lot more, but when I was feeding him, he seemed like he was mostly just sucking like a pacifier and didn't seem like he was swallowing much. I have been eating normal and drinking plenty of fluids, so there isn't much reason why I would be running dry, but it's making me nervous. I feed solely except for one bottle right before bed. When I squeeze, I notice milk coming out, but I have to squeeze higher up for it to come out, it doesn't come out when I squeeze just the nipple like he would. I really don't want to stop feeding since he is so young, but I don't want him going hungry. I just don't know if he is eating enough. He is still wetting his diaper and pooping normal, but it just doesn't seem like he is getting milk. Has anybody dealt with this? Any suggestions?

Well its like this its kind of long so well anyway here it goes. See I just saw this guy as a friend and that's all I thought of him then people mostly my friends were all you guys would make a cute couple you're so cute togeter. Vinyl Siding On Rental Property?

I have a repair guy that wants to put Vinyl on a rental property of mine. He said that would be the way to go rather than the smart siding. I mean if we didn't metabolise lipids then the only way of using up your stores is in the general use throughout the body e.g. cell membranes, LDL/HDL etc and that would mean losing body fat would take a very long time and we all know it isn't that slow. Anyone who has ever been ill for a few days and not being capable of eating, will know your body fat plummets like a stone. So really my answer is does your body use lipids as a source of ATP synthesis and if so what is the metabolic pathway name so that I can look up the unique sequence of reactions for lipids in general. I have studied respiration in terms of glycolysis, the link reaction, krebs cycle and the electron transfer chains involved with ATPase for carbohydrates and amino acids but we glanced over lipids and fats and I was wondering about lipids in particular. How do I tell my mum that I am old enough to make some decisions by myself?

My mum is very nice and I love her to bits but sometimes she would get angry for no reason, If I do something by accident such as slam a cupboard loudly or knock something over (and it isn't even broken), she would still get mad!? Another thing is that me and my mum have been really close, she raised me and my brother by herself and we have been very close. However, I am 17 now and she never lets me walk out of the door to simply go down to the shop without questioning me and telling me there is no point. Ok, I've been doing Zumba since Saturday and been going for brisk walks. I've been doing the live zumba DVD seeing as my mum lent the others to my aunty. I just bought a new townhouse with the "maple" package. Do I have to use "maple" dining furniture?

I had 2 black skirt tetras and had them for 1 year with 2 gouramis, 1 zebra danio, and 1 tiger barb. But when I moved them into a 20 gallon from a 10 gallon they started to bully the black skirt tetras. They were fighting so bad that they broke a fin off and then ate 1 of the tetras alive. Should a patient who's having surgery stop taking dietary supplements 2-3 weeks before surgery? I want to know what I can do to minimize surgical complications such as hemmorhage (excessive bleeding), bad reactions to anesthesia, and just any complications in general. I know that I shouldn't eat anything after midnight, the night before surgery. I am a part time hockey coach and a structural engineer. Recently I was informed that I was not asked to coach last year because, "He is a drunk and cannot be out on the ice with kids. Last year he was on the ice drunk with the kids on numerous occions." This comment was made to a parent by a head coach when they asked why I was not out with the kids. I have been a very popular coach with the kids and parents in the past. The coaching is not a paid position, it is strictly volunteer, but the length of the season and the willingness of parents to talk about anything has me concerned that this lie could effect me professionally. Is this worth talking to a lawyer about? Is my time better spent trying to get a public apology through the league? Is there a better course of action?
