Did you feel that Heath Ledger's dark performance in The Dark Knight transcended to a premonition his Death?

I think personal tragedy can lend to a deeper understanding of portraying a tragic character, sure. I don't think it foreshadowed his demise, however. The character interpretation of was very raw and twisted, which was definitely much more dimensional than I think many actors could hope to attain.
